Dome - Pendentives

The dome is supported by four corner pendentives.
Pendentive: A concave (hollowed or rounded inward like the inside of a bowl) triangle supporting a corner of a circular dome.
At the top of each pendentive is a mural of one of the Four Evangelists: Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John.
