St. Margaret of Corona    ...    St. Margaret (1247-1297 - Italian of the Third Order of St. Francis.  A willful girl who became the mistress of the son of Guglieromo de Pecora-Lord of Valiano and bears him a son.  She and her son will join Franciscan orders  and she is the patron saint of the falsely accused, hobos, homeless, mentally ill, orphaned, step children, single mothers, prostitutes, and tramps    ...    Detail below:


St. Margaret of Corona  - Detail:   Lash like that used in Christ's scourging





St. Jane de Chantel    ...    St. Jane (1572-1641 - Daughter of a Royalist president of the parliament of Burgundy.  She marries, had 4 children, and when her husband died, she ran his estate and eventually started her own religious order - Order of the Visitation of Mary that took in old and poor women.  She is the patron saint of forgotten people, widows, and parents separated from their children.    ...    Detail below:
