Art captions taken from the "Buffalo Art in Transit" brochure published by NFTA in 1979   Hammered and aluminum sculpture by Robert Lobe (New York City). Down within the Niagara gorge, Robert Lobe discovered a tree grown around a large rock which he used to mold an aluminum skin for a sculptural form, and made a true concrete replica. By severing the sculpture in half, he displaces solid and hollow forms inside (see below) and outside the station, as shown here.
