You may enjoy some information about a building, listed as an empty lot, which is sadly no more. I might be the last person to have family that had lived there.

In that incarnation, it was The Derwood, and before then, a Judge's mansion. The porch was removed, and steps were added. I was told there was once a Tea Room in the basement!

The Derwood was lost in a fire that made the front page of the Buffalo Evening News. The Derwood didn't burn down, but the smoke and water damage made it unsalvageable.

The structure behind the main building was previously a Carriage House, converted into rooms
