 "Te Deum"

The usual representation of Christ in a "Te Deum Window" is that of Christ the King seated in heaven  He is surrounded by Angels, Cherubim and Seraphim, with instruments of praise and smoking censers of incense. They represent different races. This stained glass window is unusual in that the figure of Christ is not depicted.

Cornelius and the Angel
Installed in 1905

Cornelius was a Roman centurion who is considered by Christians to be the first Gentile to convert to the faith, as related in Acts of the Apostles.

Certain traditions hold Cornelius as becoming either the first bishop of Caesarea or the bishop of Scepsis in Mysia.
