  Archangels Raphael and Gabriel

This window was installed in 1897, the last in the "new" Trinity Church and is an excellent example of pieces designed by Frederick Wilson for Tiffany Glass Company.

All the folds in this drapery glass are three-dimensional.

On the left, Raphael, the chief guardian angel for pilgrims, is dressed as a traveler, in sandals and carrying a staff, pink water container and flaming torch. By tradition, it was he who appeared to the shepherds.

Gabriel, on the right, appears as God's messenger in both the Old and New Testaments. he carries a winged scepter, lilies and a banner with the Latin words of the annunciation "Ave Maria."
