Sanctuary Doors

The doors are symbolically the Gates of Righteousness - Psalm 118:19-21:
"Open to me the gates of righteousness: I will go into them, and I will praise the LORD:
This gate of the LORD, into which the righteous shall enter.
I will praise thee: for thou hast heard me, and art become my salvation."

These doors are from
Temple Emanu-El. In 2008, Temple Beth David-Ner Israel and Temple Emanu-El merged with the new name Temple Beth Zzedek.

The doors feature beveled and glue-chipped glass.

The purple in the illustration results from objects behind the glass in the sanctuary.
