Strictly speaking, this probably should not be termed a "kas," because it is a German piece, not a Dutch wardrobe.
This kas was a family possession brought from Bingen in west Germany on the Rhine River.
The front carved panels are probably 16th century Renaissance; the rest of the piece is probalby not as old.
