maintained a practise in Vancouver from 1904 onward and may have
obtained his education and training in the United States, for he is
noted in source material as being a Fellow of the American Institute of
Architects in Washington, D.C. While no information has been found on
his early career, it is known that he was active in the Council of the
Royal Architectural Institute of Canada. Both he and James S. Helyer
were in partnership in 1912-14. Archer died in Vancouver on 17 April
1922. - Biographical Dictionary of Architects in Canada 1800-1950 (online March 2016)
