At the time of the Pan American Exposition, held in Buffalo in 1901, Mrs.Moot was a Member of the Board of Women Managers.

Carrie was married on 7/22/1876 to Adelbert Moot, one of Buffalo's foremost lawyers.

Mrs. Moot served as Vice-President of the New York State Federation of Women's Clubs. She was President of the Women's Educational and Industry Union. She was also President of the Twentieth Century Club in 1928.

For many years, until her death, she was Director of the City PlanningAssociation. She had served as chairman of Committee on Playgrounds and Recreation, and also took a great interest in its Waterfront Committee.Improvement of the Buffalo Waterfront was one of the salient points in her ownprogram for municipal beautification.

At the time of her death, at age 95, she resided at 385 Elmwood Avenue,Buffalo, New York.
