Merger Committee Members

This committee - representatives of both The Landmark Society of the Niagara Frontier and the Preservation Coalition of Erie County - met at The Towne Restaurant to explore the pros and cons of the two organizations to merge.  Their unanimous conclusion: YES

Catherine Schweitzer, The Baird Foundation

Chuck LaChiusa -  interim executive director of Landmark Society, board member of both Landmark Society and Preservation Coalition

Cynthia Van Ness – librarian at Historical Society, president of Preservation Coalition

Doug Swift – architect, trustee of the Darwin Martin House, Landmark Society, Board Chair of Roycroft Restoration Corp.; private developer of business properties Citiview which completed the Larkin at Exchange project and is now working on the Genesee Gateway project

Greg Lodinsky –  teacher, part of group overseeing Buffalo Tours, treasurer of Preservation Coalition, will be new treasurer of the evolving organization

Harvey Garrett – consultant on strategic issues for businesses especially banks, board member of both Landmark and Preservation Coalition, and Graycliff, also Executive Director of West Side Collaborative
 
Marti Gorman – publisher, founder of Buffalo Old Home Week now known as Buffalo Homecoming

Martin Wachadlo – architectural historian, works with Frank Kowsky on many projects, trustee of Preservation Coalition

Michele Brozek – experienced staff recently hired to run Buffalo Preservation Board; trustee of Landmark Society

Richard Baer – life long involvement with all aspects of construction, established estimating business, recently retired Chair of Buffalo Preservation Board, trustee of Landmark Society

Todd Mitchell – organizes the Buffalo Tour Docent training program, not present tonight
