Empress Josephine's Great Salon This room was entirely redecorated in 1786 for Marie-Antoinette (the wife of Louis XVI) in the Neoclassical style. Note specimen table and x-shaped stools. Under Napoleon I, it was the Empress's Great Salon whose furniture has been fully preserved until now.
