Jesus Anointed by a Sinful Woman

The "sinful woman"is sometimes identified in tradition as Mary Magdalene, but there is no textual evidence for this.

Double lancet window, each housed in in an architectural canopy. The canopies in the space above the figures are a device first introduced in the fourteenth century when Gothic cathedrals began to soar and windows became taller and narrower.

The canopies are united above by a trefoil featuring a lamb on a cross.
