Pub. on Buffalo Rising, May 29, 2014
Canterbury Woods has begun marketing its planned development at the site of the former Millard Fillmore Gates Circle Hospital.
The $28 million Canterbury Woods Gates Circle project will feature 50 independent living and assisted living apartments, and will sit prominently on Gates Circle facing Chapin Parkway.
Canterbury Woods Gates Circle is the centerpiece of a $63 million mixed-use redevelopment of the former hospital site being led by TM Montante Development, which will also include a series of residential, retail and community-focused developments.
“We believe that Canterbury Woods Gates Circle will be one of the most important developments in senior living that Western New York has seen in a generation,” said Rob Wallace, president and CEO, Canterbury Woods. “Western New Yorkers who are interested in exploring the benefits of an enriching, urban retirement lifestyle in a prestigious Buffalo location now have a resource available to them to begin that process.”
