The Annunciation "Hail, thou art highly favored, the Lord is with thee" is the greeting to Mary from the angel Gabriel (Luke 1:28), The lilies in Gabriel's hand symbolize Mary's purity. The dove signifies the Holy Spirit and a seraph with four pale red wings adorns the scene, Three joined circles of the Trinity and the equilateral cross of Christ again symbolize the merger of Trinity and Christ Parishes. Edward H, and Lorinda Bates, faithful members of both old and new Trinity, commissioned Tiffany Glass Company to produce the window in 1887. |
