by statues of Ramses
II.
- Note the cow horns and solar disk worn by Nefertari. This smaller temple was
dedicated to the goddess Hathor.
- Knee-high statues are members of the royal family.
- Cartouches
are hieroglyphics
with an oval loop of rope with the ends bound together and that spell out
the name of a king or queen, here Ramses
II and Nefertari.
