2010 - 2011 Downtown Library Noon-Hour Lecture/Discussion Series
"Imagining Buffalo Niagara in the 21st Century"

Presented by:

Louise Slaughter
Congresswoman
Thursday, April 28, 2011

Louise Slaughter, serving her 13th term as Representative of the 28th Congressional District of New York State, focused on the history of transportation in New York State and its importance for creating Buffalo and the region. This background provides a context for Congresswoman Slaughter's leadership in support of high-speed rail. This was followed by a Q&A session which covered a wide range of topics including a focus on improved rail service connecting Buffalo with New York City, Chicago AND Toronto - one of the goals of C-SAAHN.

This presentation is an extension of the "Imagine Buffalo Niagara in the 21st Century" Downtown Library Noon-Hour 2010 - 2011 Lecture/Discussion Series every 2nd Tuesday sponsored by The Center for the Study of Art, Architecture, History & Nature (C-SAAHN).
