Colonial
Revival platform rocking chair
Sometimes called a patent or spring rocker. The style was developed
to keep the rocker from wearing out the carpet.

with crowned with finials
which are connected with a turned rail
- Armrests and supports connect to arm rest braces
- Rectangular seat set on curved rockers, in turn set on platform cut from flat
planks and reinforced by round stretchers
- Iron springs at joints between rockers and platform
- Metal casters
