The Good Samaritan
Jesus' parable of the Good Samaritan is illustrated in this 1889
John LaFarge window. The Samaritan, dressed in sandals, red robe, and green turban, aids a man who has been robbed and injured. Scenes at the bottom of the window show acts of charity.

The window was given in memory of Dr. Thomas F Rochester, who came to Buffalo in 1853 to teach clinical medicine at the University of Buffalo Medical School and eventually served as dean. Dr Rochester co-founded an eye and ear clinic. offering free services to the poor. The window was restored by his descendents in 1971.
