Elijah Feeding in the Wilderness This window portrays the story Elijah who escaped to the wilderness after defeating the prophets of Baal Elijah rests under a juniper tree while an angel bids him to eat. A distant raven alludes to a previous time when God sent ravens to feed Elijah Angels adorn the scene above and the prophets Moses (left) and Elisha (right) are below. Selina Holbrook Doty presented this window as a memorial to her husband Leonidas, a founder of the First National Bank of Batavia and a former Trinity vestry member. Selina was well known in Buffalo for her work with the Humane Society, Buffalo General and Children's hospitals, and Trinity Church Charities. Hardman and Co. of London made the window in 1890, |
