  St. Salome - Detail

St. Salome was the wife of Zebedee and mother of James and John (Matt. 27: 56; cf. Matt. 20: 20), one of the women from Galilee who was present at the crucifixion (Mark 15: 40) and came to the tomb (Mark 16: 1) and received the message that Jesus had been raised.
