- Built in 1826 by Fillmore and some friends for his fiancée, Abigail
Powers.
- Millard and Abigail lived here from 1826 - 1830
- Only home in the country actually built by a President
- Only home left standing that Fillmore lived in (besides the White House)
- Originally located on main Street next to movie theater. Moved to back of
lot in 1916 when theater was built.
- Purchased by the Prices and moved to present location in 1930. Mrs. Price
used the house as a studio.
- House purchased from the Prices by the Aurora Historical Society in 1975.
