The Center for the Study of Art, Architecture, History & Nature (C-SAAHN) sponsors the Noon-Hour Lecture/Discussion series on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month at the Buffalo & Erie County Downtown Central Library.

The theme for the 2010 - 2011 Series on the 4th Tuesday is "Why are Buffalo Niagara's Art, Architecture, History and/or Nature Important?"

The October 26, 2010 speaker was Douglas W. DeCroix, Editor, Western New York Heritage Press. With beautiful images from their archive collection as a backdrop, DeCroix pondered the "WHY?" question in observing the rich heritage and treasures the region contains.

WNY Heritage Press is arguably a "one-of-a-kind" magazine and owes a great deal of it's success to the former editor, John Conlin, who, in a presentation prior to the lecture, received the 5th C-SAAHN Recognition Award for his lifetime contributions in "helping the community better see itself."
