Sherra Babcock, Director, Education Department, Chautauqua Institution, presented an overview of both Chautauqua and its various educational venues. These include, The Lecture Platform, The Chautauqua Literary & Scientific Circle, Special Studies, Writers' Center, Smith Memorial Library, Oliver Archives Center, and Cohen Recording Studio. Education is one of the four pillars that have defined Chautauqua since its inception in 1874. The other three pillars are Art, Religion, and Recreation.
