Mrs. Sidway was the former Amelia Roberts. She was the daughter of the former State Comptroller James A. Roberts, who served in that post in the 1890's.

She married Frank St. John Sidway in 1903.

Mrs. Sidway was a past president of the 20th Century Club; a former member of the board of directors of the International Institute; a past president of the Women of Trinity Episcopal Church and a past president of the board of the Christian Mission of Help. She was also a life long resident of Buffalo and very active in may other church and community organizations.

Mrs. Sidway's husband, Frank, was the grandson of of the late Jonathan Sidway, a pioneer in the promotion of Buffalo as a shipping center for whom Sidway St. is named, and the son of the late Franklin Sidway, who in 1906 built the Sidway Building in Buffalo.

Mrs. Sidway was 90 years old at the time of her death.
