Group 1 - Chapel Nave Stained Glass Windows
600 Doat Street, Cheektowaga, NY
Felician Sisters Immaculate Heart of Mary Province - Official Home Page

The stained glass windows shown below were not part of the original setting of this chapel when it was completed in 1929. There were opaque windows. See a photograph of remaining opaque windows. However, on July 5, 1932, when the sisters were praying in chapel, a terrific explosion took place shattering the windows inward and frightening the sisters. It was later revealed that a bomb was placed under the liquor establishment located across the street and was part of a gang war that was underway between two factions. No one was hurt. but this incident led to the acquiring of the present stained glass windows.

All five
stained glass windows below were designed and manufactured by the Tyrol Art Glass, Innsbruck, Austria. The name of the memorial window donor is in the predella.
