In the late 30's or early 40's, Christopher Baldy, then Senior Warden, commissioned the design of a reredos that was place on top of the High Altar, while at the same time, he provided the oak wood paneling around the sanctuary walls. The reredos featured St. John the Evangelist with small snippets of the life of Jesus. It was removed in early 1960's and located elsewhere in the church.
