  St. Barbara / St. Henry

Saint Barbara is perhaps best known as the patron saint of artillerymen, military engineers, miners and others who work with explosives because of her old legend's association with lightning, and also of mathematicians and architects. See Iconography in Art and Architecture: Saint Barbara

Saint Henry II the Lame (973-1024) was the fifth and last Holy Roman Emperor of the Saxon dynasty. He was crowned King of Germany in 1002 and King of Italy in 1004. He was the only German king to be canonized. See Iconography in Art and Architecture: Saint Henry II the Lame
