Diamondlike shape; a rhombus that is not square
Used as a fret or molding, e.g., the Normans in lozenge and billet molding
FurnitureA conventional diamond-shaped motif.
A product of the first part of the 17th century, e.g., in Jacobean design. It also appears in the French Directoire period.
