Caryatids - Royal Palace in Amsterdam

The four marble caryatids are found in The Tribunal hall where judges pronounced death sentences in the presence of the citizens of Amsterdam. Two of the four women/caryatids weep. The center panel depicts an example of justice; King Solomon orders a baby to be cut in half and one half to be given to the two women claiming to be the mother.
