The Wheat and the Tares parable sets forth the Christian understanding that good
and evil like grains and weeds in a field, are inseparably intermingled in this earthly
life, both in the individual and corporately; and that they cannot be finally separated
until the Day of Judgment ("the harvest") when evil will be forever vanquished
("God will bind the tares in bundles to burn them") and good will be victorious
("the wheat gathered into my bane").
